After fully recovering from the lethal Coronavirus, Tom Hanks has donated his blood plasma for the COVID-19 affected people. Sharing the pictures of blood plasma, he says that donating was ‘as easy as taking a nap’

Last month, Forrest Gump actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were tested positive for COVID- 19 and they had been advised to be in self-quarantine. However, the couple was treated in an Australian hospital where he was quarantined with his wife. Soon after the treatment, the couple has recovered and is back to their daily work. Amidst the Coronavirus scare, the actor, as promised, used to keep his fans posted about this phase by posting pictures of his daily routine.

As he has been sharing pictures of every small thing ever since he was being detected COVID, he again shared a picture on his Twitter handle while letting his fans know about the donation of blood plasma. In the picture, we see a bag of blood and he called that donating was ‘as easy as taking a nap.’ While sharing the pictures, he captioned, “Here’s last week's bag of plasma. Such a bag!  After the paperwork, it’s as easy as taking a nap.  Thanks, @arimoin and UCLA. Hanx.”

For the unversed, as Coronavirus has infected millions of people around the world, with no vaccine available to cure the deadly disease despite scientists and doctors still struggling and exploring drugs, vaccines, and multiple other treatments to fight COVID-19. Nevertheless, they discovered one treatment that could help is the plasma therapy. According to India Today, “Plasma therapy is based on the premise that blood from a recovered patient contains antibodies with the ability to fight the pathogen.”


We also saw some fans praising the actor for his step for the COVID affected people when a fan commented, “You're freaking awesome! God bless you!
